As an author, speaker, university literacy trainer, PhD candidate, former classroom teacher, literacy coach, & Reading Recovery teacher with over 20 years of experience, I am passionate about improving the professional expertise of teachers, coaches, administrators, & literacy teams, along with the culture and collective efficacy of schools, and the literate, joyful lives of children.

national & international conferences,
and facilitating professional learning and
literacy consulting services with schools and districts. My dissertation research focuses on humanizing and dialogic pedagogies, cohesive interactions around literacy learning, and literate identity development.
As an educational consultant, I have led hundreds of teachers, literacy coaches, administrators, and literacy teams in deepening understandings relative to
literacy and learning, theory and practice. When educators grow professionally, children bloom within constructive, equitable, purposeful, joyful,
literate communities! I will partner with you to make that happen in your school!
Onsite or virtual professional learning workshops or coaching sessions are tailored to your needs, and may focus on any aspect of literacy teaching & learning, improving school climate & culture, working with literacy teams and professional learning communities, literacy coaching, content area inquiry, humanizing pedagogies, teaching for equity and anti-racist liberatory education, fostering literate identities, etc. Learning may involve small or large groups, or one-on-one consulting - in person or virtually.
